A Form element is a container for elements such as buttons, options, or text fields. Use the Form Properties dialog box to name and configure the basic settings that let the form communicate with the server.
The Form Properties dialog box contains these fields:
Name: Name of the form.
Action: Location of the application that produces the form data.
Id: Unique identifier for a form element in a document.
Endcoding: Parameter that specifies how the form data should be encoded before it is sent to the server.
Target: Window where the results display after the data is sent to the server. Options are New Window, Topmost Window, Same Window, or Parent Window.
Method: Method data is sent to the server. Choices are GET or POST.
To create a Form:
On the Web Page Editor - Package toolbar, click Form.
Enter the appropriate information in the fields on the Form Properties dialog box.
Click OK.
The form displays in the HTML file as a frame with a red dotted board.
