Preface

This guide is a supplement to the Oracle SQL Developer User's Guide for TimesTen-specific features.Oracle SQL Developer is a graphical user interface (GUI) tool that gives database developers a convenient way to perform basic tasks. You can browse, create, edit and drop particular database objects; run SQL statements and scripts; manipulate and export data; and view and create reports.You can connect to a target TimesTen database and perform operations on particular objects in the database.

Audience

This guide is intended for those who use the Oracle SQL Developer tool with Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database and Oracle In-Memory Database Cache. Application developers and system administrators can use SQL Developer to create and manage cache groups, and other TimesTen database objects.

Convention Meaning
boldface Boldface type indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text.
italic Italic type indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply particular values.
monospace Monospace type indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.
