Workflow for decommissioning studies and projects

Decommissioning is the process of archiving and deleting a study, study project, or library project.


Workflow step		More information
1	Archive the study or project.	Information that is archived. About archiving.
2	(Optional but highly recommended) Make a full database backup.
3	Delete the study or project.	Information that is deleted when you delete a study or project. About deleting a study or project.
4	(If you need to modify a decommissioned study, study project, or library project) Download and import an archived study or project.	Information that is imported from an archive. About downloading and importing an archive.
5	(Optional) Delete an archived study or project from the database.

Note: You also can archive without deleting and delete without archiving.
