Changing Database Passwords

You can change the database password if you are connected to any of these database servers in Interactive Reporting Web Client: Essbase, Oracle, Red Brick Warehouse, Microsoft SQL Server, or Sybase Server.

  To change the password:

  1. Select Tools, then Change Database Password.

    The Change Password dialog box is displayed.

  2. Enter the user name in the Username field.

  3. Enter the current password in the Current Password field.

  4. Enter the new password in the New Password field.

  5. Enter the new password again in the Verify New Password field.

    Note:

    Some database servers support case-sensitive passwords and/or require a minimum password length. For more information, see the documentation for the database server.
