The Insert Field Task Pane

Use the Insert Field task pane to insert a new field element.

This task pane contains the following fields:

• The Name of the field: for details, see The New Field Dialog
• Comments – use this field to enter comments for the selected field that you are going to insert; the comments will be added to the field element after it is inserted; you cannot edit Comments if the field in the task pane is already present in the open document

From the Insert Field task pane, you can:

• Click Insert to insert the selected field resource
• Click to search for a field resource by name or description
• Click to create a local field resource
• Click to edit a selected local field resource
• Click to delete a selected local field resource
• resize and undock the task pane
