Query by Example

You can use the query by example feature to filter the items in a table.

To perform a query by example

1. From the toolbar, click the Query by example button . Alternatively, from the View menu, select Query By Example.

Blank query fields are displayed above each column in the table.

2. Enter a value in one or more of the query fields, then click enter.

Items in the table matching the values you entered are displayed.

3. To return to the regular view, click the Query by example button again.

Note:

• If you enter a value in more than one field, only results that match all the field search values will be displayed.
• Field values are case-sensitive. For example, entering draft will not show items with Draft in the column.
