Description

The behavior of a Directory Server instance is configured according to server properties such as pwd-mod-gen-length.

In the preceding table, syntax values shown in lower case or partly in lower case are literal values. Those shown in upper case are syntax types, as described in server(5DSCONF).

This property specifies the length of the password generated by Directory Server when a password is reset using the LDAP Password Modify Extended Operation defined in RFC 3062 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3062.txt) and no new password value is specified.

Although the syntax for this property is integer, its value must be between 6 and 512, inclusive.
