Creating Characteristics

A characteristic is a data element that you intend to associate with a Design Studio for Inventory specification. You create characteristics by creating new data elements and tagging those elements as characteristics.

Oracle Communications Design Studio enables you to leverage the data elements from various entities and available for use in the workspace. When modeling data, you can create common data schemas (for example, schemas in Model projects) to enable product-agnostic data type modeling. Also, you can create product-specific data schemas (for example, data schemas in your Inventory projects). See "Modeling Data" for more information.
