Working with Service Specifications

Services represent the technical aspects of the inventory. The information you define on a Service specification is information about the service that is unlikely to change, or that requires no versioning as it changes.

You can create services without the service being associated to a product. Service specifications can also be related to Service configurations which also restrains the configurations that can be created for a service. Service configurations that you relate to a service define information about the service that is likely to change, and information that requires versioning as it changes.

When working with Service specifications, see "Service Specification Editor" for reference information about the tabs you use to define a Service specification.
