Defining Task Data

Task data is the data that task requires for completion. You can add data to a task directly, or it can be provided on the order data or inherited from a different task. There are several ways to model task data using the Task Data tab of the Task editor. If you created the task using the Create Task wizard and you specified an existing task to use, that task's data is displayed in the Task Data area.

Different tasks can have different default values for the same data element. Because of this, whenever you add data from the Data Dictionary to a task, the default value defined in the Data Dictionary will not be inherited by the data element on the task.
