view (Studio)

In Studio, a virtual set of records derived by filtering and grouping the physical records from one or more data sets.

For example, for a list of sales transactions, the transaction records could be used to derive a list of customers and a list of products. Those lists would be views.

In addition to these custom views, each data set has an associated base view, which is generated automatically and which consists of the entire contents of that data set.

Views are made up of attributes and predefined metrics. Some view attributes are also dimensions. Each view has its own metadata, which include its name, type, attribute display names, and the names and definitions of predefined metrics.
