These release notes describe the new and changed documentation contained in the documentation update for release 7.0 of Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server (OCECAS).

New Documents

The following documents have been added to the Release 7.0 OCECAS documentation:

  • Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server Operator's Guide

    Describes the tasks that an operator performs to create and use services. It includes the following chapters:

    • Working with Control Flows

    • Working with Resources

    • Working with Change Sets

    • Working with Subscriber Data

    • Accessing Service Data with the RESTful API

    Also contains appendices that describe the default enhanced subscriber store (ESS) schema and external references for supported OCECAS interactions.

  • Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server RESTful API Reference

    Complete reference for the OCECAS RESTful APIs for provisioning subscribers and accessing services.

  • Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server Compliance Guide

    Details OCECAS's compliance with 3GPP and GSMA standards, and with the RFC 3588 document.

Documentation Updates

The following updates have been implemented in the Release 7.0 OCECAS documentation.

  • Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server System Administrator's Guide

    • New chapter: ”Managing Media Servers”

    • The ”Configuration Overview” has been updated.

    • The following sections have been added to ”Managing Evolved Communications Application Server”:

      • OCECAS Statistics

      • Enabling Charging in the Runtime Domains

    • The following sections have been updated in ”Managing Evolved Communications Application Server”:

      • Managing Telemetry

      • Managing SRVCC

      • Managing the Conference Feature

      • Managing the Diameter Node

    • The duplicated OCCAS-related chapters have been removed (Parts II - IV). See the OCCAS product documentation instead.

    • The ”Session Design Center” chapter has been removed. See Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server Concepts and Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server Operator's Guide for information on the Session Design Center.

  • The Oracle Communications Evolved Communications Application Server Installation Guide has been updated to address several issues.

  • All outstanding documentation bugs have been resolved.
