Assigning reports to roles
Users can view only the reports assigned to their roles. You can assign a report to multiple roles, or multiple reports to one role. When you assign a report to a role, users assigned to the role can view the report.
Note: You must assign every report you create to one or more roles.
To view the reports assigned to a role
:
- Select Administration (
).The Administration page appears.
- Click Assign Reports to Roles.
The Assign Reports to Roles page appears.
- Click the Assign Reports to Roles link for the role.
The Assign Reports to Roles page appears for the role.
Reports assigned to the role appear in the list on the right.
To assign a report to a role:
- Select Administration (
).The Administration page appears.
- Click Assign Reports to Roles.
The Assign Reports to Roles page appears.
- Click the Assign Reports to Roles link for the role.
The Assign Reports to Roles page appears for the role.
- Do one of the following:
- From the Available Reports list, select the report to assign to the role, and click the add (>) button.
- To assign all available reports to the role, click the add all (>>) button.
- Click Submit.
To remove a report assignment from a role:
- Select Administration (
).The Administration page appears.
- Click Assign Reports to Roles.
The Assign Reports to Roles page appears.
- Click the Assign Reports to Roles link for the role.
The Assign Reports to Roles page appears for the role.
- Do one of the following:
- Select the assigned reports to remove from the role, and click the remove (<) button.
- To remove all reports from the role, click the remove all (<<) button.
- Click Submit.
Note: When you modify report role assignments, users assigned to the role must log out and sign in again to see any changes to report assignments.
