About ICDs

During the enrollment process, a patient may be required to view or view and sign an ICD. Typically, a sponsor loads an ICD file into the application from the ICD Management page.

Depending on the study configuration, the ICD may require:

• No signature, because it is informational only.
• Patient signature only.
• Patient and site user signatures.
• Patient, site user, and observer signatures.

If your study protocol encompasses online informed consent, after a patient is created, the ICD appears. You certify that the required signatures have been collected by entering the user names and passwords for the required patients and users. The signatures are captured with a date and time stamp. Before you click the Sign button on an ICD, you have the option to print a copy of the form. When the ICD is complete, the Patient Summary page appears.
