Rights and roles control access

Your ability to perform a particular function depends on the role you have been assigned to and the rights associated with that role.

Rights grant permission to perform specific activities in the OutcomeLogix application. Access to each administrative function is granted to a user as a right. For more information, see Roles and rights descriptions.

Roles are labels for typical site and sponsor users. The OutcomeLogix application contains a set of roles typically used in a study; for example: investigator, clinical data manager, and sponsor help desk.

You can modify the set of roles and rights provided as well as add roles. For your convenience, the rights are grouped into several categories.
