Roles and rights

Rights grant permission to perform specific activities in the application. Rights are assigned to roles, which are assigned to users. You assign users to roles when you create users or when you edit their user profiles.

The OutcomeLogix application comes with a predefined set of roles, which are configurable in the OutcomeLogix user interface, and rights, which are also predefined for the study and not configurable in the OutcomeLogix user interface. You can, however, modify the rights assigned to the predefined roles.

The rights assigned to a role form a rights group, which is assigned to all the users assigned to the role. For example, all the users assigned to the investigator role have the same rights and can only perform the activities specific to their role, such as entering data. Users assigned to the medical monitor role have rights to review data, but not to enter it.

Note: Assign only the appropriate rights and users to each role.
