While reviewing a visit or form, a data reviewer might want input from other data managers or monitors before issuing a query.

  1. Select Patients (Patients icon. Click to navigate to the Patient List page.).
  2. Click the Summary link for the patient.
  3. Expand a visit by clicking the arrow to the left of the visit name.
  4. Expand a form by clicking the arrow to the left of the form name.

2

You issue a query at the patient, visit, form, or item level.

  1. Select the checkbox for the patient, visit, form, or item. You can select multiple checkboxes.
  2. Click the Create Query icon (Manual status icon. Click to create a query.).

3

In the dialog box, you identify the query as a candidate query and choose the reason for the query.

  1. Select the Issue as a Candidate Query? checkbox.
  2. From the Query Selection drop-down list, select the query to issue.
  3. To write your own query, select Other from the Query Selection drop-down list and type the query in the Other Text box.
  4. Click Submit.

The OutcomeLogix application displays the Candidate query Status icon (Query status icon. Candidate.) next to the queried patient, visit, form, or item only if the user has candidate query rights. On the Query List page, the candidate query is visible only to users with candidate query rights.

4

Another sponsor user reviews the candidate query and either reissues it as an open query or deletes it.

  1. Select Queries (1Queries_icon).
  2. Select a query with Candidate in the Status column.

The query information appears on the Query Detail page on the Answer tab.

  3. In the Change Status field, click Open or Delete.
  4. Click Submit.

Note: If an open query is answered, you can reissue it as a candidate query if additional review is required to approve it or identify if another query is required.
