Considerations for changing the preferred method of contact
If you change the preferred method of contact, consider the following:
- If a patient changes from paper- to web- or phone-based, only surveys left to be completed appear on the Call Center List page. After changing to web- or phone-based status, a patient is not eligible for any eCodes for forms completed while the patient was paper-based, even if eCodes would have been assigned for those forms if the patient had been web- or phone-based when completing the forms.
- If a patient changes from web- or phone-based to paper-based, the OutcomeLogix application does not re-send missed eCodes and no longer sends eCodes via email.
- If a patient changes from paper- to phone-based in the middle of a survey window, the OutcomeLogix application does not allow form completion outside of the survey window (including forms completed as a paper-based patient). The application does not keep a history of all these updates. Call Center users can use the Override function to make the required updates.
- Paper is the only method of contact available to patients assigned to sites not allowing ePRO forms.
- If a site opts out of allowing ePRO forms, existing patients automatically become paper-based.
- If patients are transferred from a site allowing ePRO forms to a site not allowing ePRO forms, they automatically become paper-based.
