Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. in conjunction with their partner Presence of IT, executed strategic initiatives to increase the return on their software investment, through which they deployed numerous PeopleSoft HCM Fluid user interface capabilities including Fluid Home Pages, uniquely configured navigation for all administrative functions, Employee and Manager Self Service, Workforce Administration, the brand new Payroll for North America Fluid Workcenter, and the Fluid Recruiting Home Page with Recruiting Analytics, and leveraged Selective Adoption for a value oriented incremental delivery approach that enables rapid adoption of desired features.

Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) is headquartered in Miami and is the third-largest cruise line in the world. NCL uses PeopleSoft’s HCM application for Workforce, Talent, Time and Payroll administration functions. After upgrading to the latest application and PeopleTools version, NCL undertook several strategic initiatives to improve ROI in the PeopleSoft HCM application.

NCL has recently deployed:

  • Fluid Homepages and custom configured navigation for all administrative functions, including the Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Workforce Administration and Recruiting Home Pages
  • Fluid Work Center for Payroll for North America for resource intensive payroll administration processes
  • Fluid Recruiting Analytics for better insights on talent acquisition process

Partnering with Presence of IT, NCL adopted a value oriented incremental delivery approach and in a short time span have made significant improvements to our user’s experience and processing efficiency across all key business functions. NCL deployed delivered features and leveraged out-of-the-box capabilities in the PeopleSoft application. Selective adoption enabled the very rapid deployment of the Fluid version of the Payroll for North America Work Center feature that was recently delivered in HCM Image 28.
