Report Server Status Codes

When a report is being prepared, the OPERA report server program generates the report before it is sent to the printer or other output is created. Report server status codes in the RW_SERVER_QUEUE table show the state of report processing activity. This information can be helpful when troubleshooting report printing problems.

Description

1

Report is in queue. All report engines are busy processing other reports. Report will process when engine becomes available.

Report is opening. This may take some time for large reports.

Report is processing.

Report processing completed.

Report processing terminated with error. See Error field for further information.

Report server crashed while attempting to process the report. When preparing a report for print output, this may happen if the report server cannot communicate with the printer that handles the print task.

Ensure that the printer is available on the network, configured in OPERA (System Configuration>Setup>Printers), and online.  Alternatively, the report may not be compatible with the currently installed OPERA release or the report may include invalid objects. Try resolving the problem by recompiling the report.

Report cancelled. Resubmit the report.

Report server shut down. Restart the report server then resubmit the report.

Report server retrying report.

Report output being sent to printer or to file.
