OPERA webProposals for Blocks

Business Block webProposals can be created through OPERA Sales and Catering (S&C) or Property Management System (PMS).

Note: Transient webProposals can be created through S&C and OPERA Sales Force Automation (SFA). See OPERA webProposals for Transient Sales webProposals for Transient Sales for more indformation.

Enabling the webProposal Feature

From within the appropriate application (S&C or PMS) enable the webProposal feature. Configure the OPERA webProposal link under the URL Setup option (Configuration>Setup>Menu URL Setup).

In the Menu URL Links screen, highlight OPERA webProposal and select Edit.
In the URL field, enter the path that links OPERA to the webProposal application so that OPERA data can be sent to webProposal and OPERA users can access webProposal. This link also enables several webProposal menu options, buttons, and application settings within OPERA.
Select the webProposal check box.

Prerequisites

Application Settings

Set the following application settings in the appropriate application (S&C or PMS):

Application Setting>Blocks>webProposal Version - VERSION4 or higher
Application Setting>Blocks>webProposal Chain Code - Y (if applicable)
Application Setting>Blocks>webProposal Status Code for Sub Blocks - (if applicable)
Application Parameter>Blocks>webproposal SSO Active - Y (When the application parameter Blocks>webProposal SSO Active is set to Y, webProposal is launched without having to login to the webProposal Signon screen when the user selects the webProposal button on the Business Block or Activities Options menu, or the Active, Archived, or webProposal Sitemanager menus. When the application parameter is set to N, users will have to login using the webProposal Signon screen.

Permissions

Ensure that the user is granted the following permission:

BLOCKS>WEBPROPOSAL

webProposal Workflow

After enabling the webProposal feature, activating the application settings, and granting the user permission, set up a webProposal for blocks.

Access Configuration>Database>Activity Types Setup>Activity Type Maintenance screen. Select an Activity Type code for the transient webProposal and select the Activity Class as To Do. Select the WebProposal check box for that activity type and class. Save the activity type setup.
Access the Business Block webProposal tab and select your choices for XML output.
- Select the webProposal button on the Business Block Options menu. (Available when the user has the BLOCKS>WEBPROPOSAL permission granted.)
- Activity is of the class TO DO
- Activity type is selected as webProposal in configuration
- Activity has been saved
- Currently logged in user has an email address configured
Select the desired template in the webProposal program.
Go through all steps to create the webProposal and select Save and Send. Refer to the topic Creating OPERA webProposals.
Return to the Business Block screen. A hyperlink labelled Launch webProposal is now available on the screen. Select it to open the new webProposal.
To generate the XML for the Transient webProposal, close the webProposal again and select CNTRL+ SHIFT and double click in the upper left beside the hyperlink.

webProposal active proposals, archived proposals, and webProposal Sitemanager is also available.

webProposal active proposals are available when the user has the permission BLOCKS>WEBPROPOSAL. Accessed through Sales and Catering>Business Management>webProposal>Active or PMS>Reservations>Blocks>webProposal>Active.
webProposal archived proposals are available when the user has BLOCKS>WEBPROPOSAL permission granted. Accessed through Sales and Catering>Business Management>webProposal>Archived or PMS>Reservations>Blocks>webProposal>Archived.
The webProposal Sitemanager is accessed through Configuration>Reservations>webProposal Sitemanager. Available when the user has WEBPROPOSAL SITEMANAGER permission granted.
