Description. When activated, Inventory Items can be configured as "Outside of Stay Dates" which will allow the user to attach the item beginning before and/or ending after the stay dates of the Reservation.

Note: When set to Y, the OXI outbound messages will contain the following elements: "allowOutideStay," "defaultDuration," "promptFixedCharges."

Property Determination. Activation of this application parameter enables a property to add Inventory Items to a guest reservation that falls before or after the actual stay dates.

Notes.

When this application parameter is set to N while a reservation exists at a property that includes an Inventory Item that falls outside the stay dates, a message prompt is displayed to notify the user. The user will be able to cancel the action or continue through with the deactivation.

When this application parameter is set to N, all Inventory Items that have the Allow Outside of Stay Dates check box selected will automatically be updated to have the check box not selected. But if the parameter is later set to Y, then the check box will manually have to be selected for the Inventory Items.
