Confirmation Letters Multi-Property

Confirmation Letters summarizing the reservation, waitlisted reservation (when the application setting Property>Function>Reservation>Waitlist = Y), cancelled reservation, and property booking details can be sent to the prospective guest (individual, group, company, travel agent). The confirmation letter restates the terms of the reservation and provides the confirmation number that you can use to query the system in OPERA. You select configured confirmation letters to send to the guest (individual, group, company, travel agent) by printer, fax or mail.


Sending Confirmation Letters

Properties can send confirmation letters automatically by fax, by e-mail, or print locally for mailing.

If a confirmation letter has been defined on the reservation screen, a message automatically displays after the closing script completes notifying you that the confirmation has been sent.

The confirmation letter defined on the reservation screen is sent to the guest’s fax or email address defined as primary on the profile.

If no email or fax numbers exist on the profile, you can enter these values and save them to the profile if applicable.

Custom messages may be added to the confirmation letter prior to being printed, faxed, or e-mailed.

Cancelled reservations confirmation letters may be sent from the confirmations letter screen.
