Rate Change Report (res_rate_compare with RES28.FMX)
The Rate Change Report will show any reservations that had their Rate Code and/or Rate Amount changed on a specific date. This can include, but is not limited to one of the following:
The user has the flexibility to include any Reservation Status and the report can be sorted by Name or Room Number.
Date. (Populated with the current business date by default) Select the date to run the report for. The report does not allow dates in the future. The date chosen here refers to the actual date that the Rate Amount and/or Rate Code was updated.
Note: The report is based on the system date/time. This means if a change is made at 1:00 am Tuesday and End of Day is run at 2:00 am Tuesday, then the change will show on Tuesday’s report, not Monday's.
Select the down arrow to select specific reservation statuses from the multi-select list of values to include in the report. Leaving this filter blank will include all reservation statuses in the report output.
Alphabetical, Room No. (When Room Number is chosen Rooms without a Room Number (Due In) will display at the end of the report in Alphabetical order by Name)
Note: When only either the Rate Amount or Rate Code changed and the other remains the same, the report will show the same value in both old and new columns for the item that remained the same.
Note: The columns for Room No., C/T/S, and Block Code show the current status of the Reservation at the time the report is printed, not the status at the time the change occurred.
Conf. No. Confirmation number of the reservation that was updated.
Room No. Room number attached to the reservation. If a reservation is Due In and a room number has not been attached, then this column will be blank.
Name. Name attached to the reservation.
Attached Profile Type. Displays the attached profile type (Company, Travel Agent, Source) for the reservation.
Old Rate Code. Rate code that was attached to the reservation before being updated.
New Rate Code. The rate code that the reservation was updated to.
Old Rate Amount. Rate amount that was attached to the reservation before being updated.
New Rate Amount. Rate amount that the reservation was updated to. This value can be populated from the Rate Code update or from an actual update to the rate amount.
Block Code. If the reservation is part of a block, then the Block Code that the reservation is attached to is populated in this column.
User. User ID of the user that made the actual update to the rate code or rate amount.
Date. Date and Time that the update was completed by the user.
Items displayed in GREEN are not displayed on the report where the items in RED will be displayed on the report.
When the dates of a reservation are changed, OPERA will compare the following in order to determine if a change in Rate Amount/Code exists:
