HTNG Interfaces

As an Activities Consolidation System (ACS), Opera makes it possible for third-party Activity Reservation Systems (ATS) to interface with Opera and share a variety of information related to a guest's stay, including reserving a room, dining reservations, golf tee times, spa reservations, and virtually any other activities that may be available at the hotel.

Using the HTNG open code standard, and through an Opera Exchange Interface (OXI) gateway, information from these external systems can be associated with Opera profiles and/or Opera reservations, so that hotel staff can be aware of the guest's activity schedule.

Activities that have been reserved through an external Activity Reservation System (ATS) can be viewed and managed via the Scheduled Activities screen.

Changes made to the reservation that may impact activity schedules, such as when a guest cancels a reservation, changes the dates of a reservation, or makes an early departure, can be passed back to the activity schedule system for appropriate action. Similarly, changes to the guest profile in either Opera or the external system are also propagated to the other system, so that the two systems remain synchronized.

Scheduled activity details are available for printing on guest stationary items such as confirmation letters and registration cards, and can be printed for guests to present them with a copy of their activity bookings throughout their stay.

Note: HTNG interfaces using HTNG specifications 2006/2008, 2008B and 2008B extensions are now supported in ASP mode.

Once the Interface has been setup configuration can begin. The following new HTNG Interface has been introduced:

Name: New OPERA Xchange Interface for ManageMySpa, Next Generation
