Description.  Ability to merge profiles that have outstanding commissions in a single property or in different properties in a multi-property environment.

Internal Name. PROFILE_MERGE_COMM

Property Determination. The profiles being merged must meet specific criteria to carry out the merge. See Merge Profiles.

When the Profiles>Allow Profile Merge with Commissions application parameter is set to Y, merging profiles that have commissions in a single property or in different properties in a multi-property environment is possible. In order for the merge to complete, one or both of the profiles must meet certain criteria.

Profiles that have Negotiated Rates with Commission Codes

Merging from Profile 2 to Profile 1 - The merging of Profile 2 to Profile 1 will execute if:

• Both profiles have the same rate code attached to the same commission code. If the commission code on a negotiated rate code has not been defined for one profile, then the default commission code set by the Commission>Default Commission application setting will be used.

Profiles with Commission Bank Accounts and Commission Codes

Merging from Profile 2 to Profile 1 - The merging of Profile 2 to Profile 1 will execute if:

• The profiles have the same commission bank account and commission code. If the "merge to" profile (Profile 1) does not have a commission bank account assigned, then the "merge to" profile (Profile 1) inherits the "merge from" profile (Profile 2) commission bank account.

When a profile merge is completed in ORS for two profiles with AR Accounts, the profiles will be downloaded and the same rules must be met, as in PMS, in order to complete the merge.
