ID Type

The ID Type field may be screen painted onto the Profile screen More Fields tab in order to display a list of acceptable identification media. Examples include passport, driver license, military ID, etc. Staff may then make a selection from this standard list when verifying guest IDs.

To configure ID types, select Configuration>Profile>Geographical Data>Custom>ID Type. The ID Types screen appears.

The screen includes the following information:

Code. Code for the ID type.

Description. Description of the ID type.

ID Type. Select an ID Type (Passport, Drivers License) to associate to the ID Code. By linking this ID Code with an ID Type, this will map this particular ID Code to the ID Document Scanning vendor's <getIDType> variable. This allows for the Scan button to be active and selected on the Profile screen without first having to select an ID Type form the ID Type field. For example, configuring the PASSPORT ID Code with the PASSPORT ID Type will automatically populate PASSPORT in the ID Type field when scanning a passport with the ID Document Scanning feature. See ID Document Scanning for details.

Note: If an existing ID type is being used by a profile, you will not be able to delete it and the "Delete" button will be inactive when the document type is highlighted in the display grid.

ID Role. (Displays when the Profiles>FIELDS ENCRYPTION AND MASK application setting is set to Y. When this application setting is active, the ID Type field will not display.) Select an ID role to associate to the ID code. Passport, Driver License, Visa, ID or Unknown are the available roles for selection from the LOV. The Passport and Unknown role types cannot be edited once the configuration is saved.

Note: When editing the ID role of the ID type, OPERA will check if there are other ID types with the same role. If other ID types are found with the same role, users will be prompted with the choice to either "No" not save changes or to "Yes" update the current ID type with the selected ID role. The existing role for the other document types will be removed. E.g.) You are creating a new ID type "PASSPORT" with the role "Passport." Upon saving the new ID type, OPERA displays a message that an ID type "PASS" exists with the ID role of "Passport." You can proceed by either selecting "No" to not save the new ID type or "Yes" to save the new ID type. If you select "Yes" to save the new ID type "PASSPORT," the ID role "Passport" will be removed from the ID type "PASS."

Display Seq. Code display sequence number.
