Understanding the Header Area of the Blocks Screen

The Header area displays business block header information.

Fields

Acct/Comp. The account/company name. Select the Ellipsis button to access the Profile - Edit screen and modify the account information.

Agent. The travel agent. Select the Ellipsis button to the right of this field to access the Profiles screen and modify the agent information.

Group. The group name. Select the Ellipsis button to access the Profile - Edit screen and modify the group information.

Block. The business block code.

Name. The business block name.

Cutoff Date. The cutoff date for this business block.

Start Date. The first date this business block is effective.

Nights. The number of nights spanned by this business block.

End Date. Automatically calculated from the Start Date and Nights fields. However, if this field is incorrect you can change it.

Status. The Business Block main status.

Res. Type. This reservation type will automatically propagate to all reservations created for this block.

Rate Code. The rate code.

Elastic. If "Y" appears in this field, the business block can be "stretched" to accommodate reservation demand over and above the number of allotted rooms, only if the hotel still has availability.

Buttons

Options. Select this button to access the Options menu.

Edit. Select this button to access the Quick Business Block screen.
