GDS Group Application Parameters for ADS

Note: When the OPR<version Number>ORS license code is active, three radio buttons appear on the Application Settings screen that affect which Group Functions, Parameters, and Settings are available.

- The Global radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that affect all properties located in all CROs in the ORS database.
- The CRO radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that affect all properties located in the CRO selected from the CRO LOV.
- The Property radio button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that are available on the property level, and only affect the property selected in the Property LOV.

Highlight the GDS group and then select the Parameters radio button to configure the available ADS-exclusive GDS parameters.

ADS SOURCE CODE. Determines which value should be used as the source code on the reservation. If the parameter is enabled, use source code from the XML message in the POS@Web value. If not enabled, then use the source code value on the rate header, and if not populated, use the value in the Name field of the Channel Setup screen.

AUDIT DETAILS. Always set to “NO”.

SET RECORD LOCATOR AS EXTERNAL REFERENCE. This parameter allows for the Client to feed the Expedia Record locator in to the EXTERNAL_REFERENCE table as an external reference. This parameter is not required.

SET RECORD LOCATOR AS CUSTOM REFERENCE. This parameter allows for the Client to feed the Expedia Record locator in to the CUSTOM_REFERENCE field as an custom reference. This parameter is not required.

USE ADS CONFIRMATION NO. If “Use ADS Confirmation” is activated, then the confirmation number sent by the external system will be used as the Opera Confirmation Number. Due care should be taken in the event an alphanumeric number is sent by the external system. Opera will then send this via OXI to a PMS and it may be possible that the PMS only accepts numeric characters.

USE GDS RECORD LOCATOR FOR CRSNO. This is a PMS parameter only. Always set this to “YES”.
