Description. For Address Doctor. This setting allows elimination of diacritical characters such as umlaut and replacing them with the proper equivalent without diacritical marks. This option works only with Latin alphabets.

Internal Name. REMOVE_DIACRITICS

Property Determination. When the preferred language setting for Address Doctor is PFL_LATIN_SCRIPT and diacritics like Ü,ö, ä, etc., are used in the address, they will be replaced by the English letter combination that represent them (ue, oe, ae, etc.) when this parameter is set to TRUE. The address will be rendered with diacritics when the parameter is set to FALSE.

For example, if this application setting is set to TRUE, a cleansed address for the city of Düsseldorf will be rendered as Duesseldorf.

Activation / Inactivation Rules.

Available when OPP_ADDO license is active, Profiles>Address Cleansing is set to Y, and Profiles>Address Cleansing System is set to ADDRESSDOCTOR.

TRUE (Apply functionality.) FALSE (Default. Do not apply functionality.)
