Synchronize SC Data Mart Utility

The Utilities>Synchronize Utilities>Synchronize SC Data Mart utility, allows the user to sync Booking Production, Rooms Snapshot and Catering revenue data between their respective tables. The Utility gives the option of synchronizing by Block ID or Arrival period.

Note: When Opera PMS is present with S&C, synchronization is called during Night Audit to copy all new records from one table to its corresponding data mart table. When Opera PMS is not present, the application setting Blocks>SC Background Processes Start Time determines at what time this process will run.

Module to Synchronize

Booking Production. Automatically selected by default, the Booking Production selection will synchronize the booking production from the ALLOTMENT_CHANGES table to the DM_ALLOTMENT_CHANGES table based on the start/end criteria or the Block ID and copy this data.

Rooms Snapshot. The Rooms Snapshot option will synchronize rooms data from the BOOKING_STATUS_CHANGES table to the DM_ROOMS_SNAPSHOT table based on the start/end criteria or the Block ID.

Catering Revenue. The Catering Revenue option will synchronize the catering revenue data from the GEM_EVENT_REVENUE table to the DM_CATERING_REVENUE table based on the start/end criteria or the Block ID selected.

Catering Production. The Catering Production option will synchronize the Catering Production data from the EVENT$CHANGES table to the DM_CATERING_PRODUCTION table based on the start/end criteria or Block ID selected.

Catering Snapshot. The Catering Snapshot option will synchronize catering data from the BLOCK_CATERING_SNAPSHOT table to the DM_CATERING_SNAPSHOT table based on the start/end criteria or the Block ID entered.

Note: When the hotel's default catering currency is not equal to the hotel's base currency, the catering currency from the events is run through a conversion during the synchronization process. This conversion can occur on the catering revenue, catering production and/or the catering snapshot synchronization as warranted.

Start Criteria/End Criteria

Arrival Date From/To. When the Arrival Date option is selected, all records of every booking with an arrival date between the start and end criteria will be synchronized.

Block ID. When the Block ID option is selected, all records for that business block will be synchronized; for example, from the ALLOTMENT_CHANGES table to the DM_ALLOTMENT_CHANGES table.

Function Buttons

OK. Select the OK button to initiate the synchronization.

Close. Select the Close button to exit the Synchronize SC Data Mart Utility without initiating the synchronization.
