Description of the illustration calsvrfe

This figure represents a simplified Calendar Server front-end and back-end configuration that uses two hosts. In this figure, the calendar clients are connected to the Calendar Server host through HTTP. This host accesses an LDAP database for user preference and authentication information. The Calendar Server front-end host also accesses the Calendar Server back-end host, which contains the SQL database and the document store. The document store can also be on a separate host if desired.
