This figure shows a sample Calendar System deployment consisting of three front end servers and two back end servers. A load balancer spreads client requests among the three hosts. The protocols used are CalDAV/HTTP, SQL/TCP and LDAP/TCP. CalDAV/HTTP is used to send information from PROPFIND through the load balancer to Calendar Server Instances (xN). LDAP/TCP is used to send information from xN to the LDAP Server. SQL/TCP is used to send information from xN to Database Server 1 and Database Server 2 shown in this image.
