Re-order security providers


If you have more than one security provider of the same type in a security realm, the order in which these providers are called can affect the overall outcome of the security processes. The security providers tables list the security providers in the order they are called. By default, security providers are called in the order that they were added to the realm. You can use the table to change the order of the providers.

To change the ordering of security providers:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, select the Security Realms page.
  3. Click the name of the realm you are configuring (for example, TestRealm).
  4. Select the tab for the appropriate type of security provider, for example Providers:Authorization.
  5. Click Reorder.
  6. Select an security provider from the list of configured security providers and use the arrow buttons to move it up or down in the list.
  7. Click OK to save your changes.
  8. To activate these changes, in the Change Center, click Activate Changes.
  9. Reboot WebLogic Server.
