Purpose

This document includes important, late-breaking information about this release of Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis. Review this Readme thoroughly before installing Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System.

New Features in This Release

For new features relating to installation, architecture, and deployment changes in this release, see “New Features in this Release” in the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System Readme.

If you are applying the maintenance release from Release 11.1.2.0, 11.1.2.1, 11.1.2.2, or 11.1.2.3, use the Cumulative Feature Overview tool to review the list of new features added between those releases. Financial Reporting

  • New text functions in Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio retrieve decision package information such as descriptions, justifications, and notes and attachments to use on financial reports. Where applicable, you can insert these functions into a text box; a grid’s text row, column, or cell; or a custom heading.

  • The new Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management ADM drivers are now supported. For Financial Management customers, the Financial Reporting server can now be deployed on UNIX and Linux platforms without the previous Windows-only restriction.

  • New Financial Reporting Workspace preference to launch a Query Ready export of a Financial Reporting report to either a new workbook or a new worksheet.

  • 7019333 -- The logon page in Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Workspace does not include a link to enable screen-reader mode.

  • 7037862 -- Users cannot select all files when creating a book.

  • 9912596 -- Dynamic Help does not display help topic in correct language when there is no match between the browser’s list of languages and Workspace’s list of allowed languages.

  • 12726911 -- Users who do not have the Explorer role can see the Search text box.

  • 13020171 -- Logging on to EPM Workspace with very long user names does not work.

  • 13024723 -- Case is considered when sorting Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management applications.

  • 13397438 -- In Manage Preferences, users are not sorted correctly when using the “In Group” filter.

  • 13397833 -- In Manage Preferences, the “In Group” filter does not shows groups within other groups.

  • 13403518 -- In Manage Preferences, if you search for users that have been moved into the Selected panel, an error message is displayed.

  • 14227710 -- The Reconciliation Manager menu item does not appear correctly when users are provisioned with only the Reconciliation Manager role.

  • 14284626 -- In Mozilla Firefox, the masthead image on the logon page disappears after pressing the Tab key repeatedly.

  • 15967304 -- The status indicator disappears when the browser is resized.

  • 16045749 -- After maintenance upgrades, Reconciliation Manager can not be opened.

  • 16224034 -- In Internet Explorer 9, the Save As dialog incorrectly displays the “Save As My Workspace Page” option.

  • 16231763 -- XUL Manager is required for Mozilla Firefox.

  • 16325390 -- In Manage Preferences, if the administrator selects Explore as Default Startup Content but does not select a folder, an error message is not displayed.

  • 16667103 -- When you create several “My Workspace Pages”, the “More” link is not visible in the Workspace Pages layout area on the Home Page.

  • 17318266 -- The Type drop down in the File Open dialog box does not display the All Files text and image properly.

  • 17483974 -- Internet Explorer 10 does not display a warning message if Compatibility View is enabled.

  • 17575948 -- The Dynamic Help toolbar does not link to the documentation on Oracle Technology Network.

  • 17700705 -- When multiple monitors are used, the Navigate menu is displayed in an incorrect location.

  • 18344597 --Internet Explorer 11 is not supported.

  • 18889868 -- In Internet Explorer, the “Allow script-initiated windows without position or size constraints” setting must be enabled.

  • 20051214 -- Opening Oracle Hyperion Web Analysis documents from the Favorites menu does not honor the Default Open mode set in Preferences.

Financial Reporting

  • 6593347 -- You cannot to view changes made to a report in HTML without having to first save the report.

  • 7314134 -- When you have both positive and negative numbers in a report, they are not aligned when you preview the report in HTML.

  • 8564075 -- When importing Financial Reporting reports to Oracle Smart View for Office, the columns are automatically resized regardless of the column width settings in Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio.

  • 8809367 -- A grid name with Chinese characters causes a refresh issue page dimensions.

  • 9305280 -- After scheduling a batch, the batch bursting option defined when the batch was scheduled are not displayed in the batch properties.

  • 9536484 -- You cannot globally control grid lines when designing a report in Reporting Studio.

  • 10197884 -- When saving a report in PDF, the suggested file name is always “HRetrieve”.

  • 12556702 -- There is no “all” button in the Warning dialog box that is displayed during import.

  • 13525797 -- The following items are not available in right-click menus in Reporting Studio Explore: Open in Design, HTML, PDF, Rename, New Folder, and Delete.

  • 13969306 -- When you select a row in a grid that has multiple dimensions, the top suppression option in the row property is not displayed.

  • 13820261 -- After creating a book and selecting a member selection in the entity dimension, you cannot change from collate report by “reports ”to “by member selection

  • 14466576 -- You cannot select one option to open all categories to the Account level, instead of opening each one separately.

  • 15996980 -- When using Complete Book in PDF, the book Table of Contents uses Letter format when Legal is specified in the book setup.

  • 16045239 -- In HTML Preview, if a snapshot report is specified as an annotation attachment, the snapshot report is not displayed correctly when accessed from the annotation attachment.

  • 16078130 -- There is no support for Planning decision package reports via the Planning ADM driver. 

  • 16200372 -- In Internet Explorer 9, the selected color changes after you reply to an annotation.

  • 16243624 -- In a text row or column in a grid, using the GetCell text function or the RetrieveCellDocument option fails. However, both work when used with text boxes.

  • 16243882 -- HTTP links specified in a CellText function in Financial Reporting reports are not functional.

  • 16287714 -- Changing time zones when scheduling batches can result in an incorrect time calculation.

  • 16288952 -- Documents that are child members of a live URL in a book cannot be opened when viewing HTML book output.

  • 16300873 -- Search does not return reports attached to row or column templates using the Link to Source Object option.

  • 16302422 -- If you add custom related content to report text objects in the report header, body or footer, the report is displayed in EPM Workspace with long underlines beneath these text objects.

  • 16303067 -- In Financial Reporting Studio, if you open a report that is stored in one folder (for example, my_monthly_reports), you cannot save the report as a snapshot report in a different folder (for example, my_daily_reports).

  • 16311856 -- Tool tips are not displayed in Reporting Studio.

  • 16323217 -- Reporting Studio toolbar icons and formula field tool tips are not displaying properly.

  • 16365065 -- The locale used for Financial Reporting Studio is specified in the Financial Reporting Studio logon page instead of user preferences in EPM Workspace.

  • 16365191 --The Select Member dialog box is displayed in the locale specified in EPM Workspace user preferences, rather than the browser locale used when creating reports.

  • 16386578 -- Font size and font name are not available in the Annotations dialog box.

  • 16397626 -- When batching a budget book to PDF, page numbers cannot be dynamically added to the output file.

  • 16406555 -- When using Financial Reporting in a non-English locale, two of the strings displayed after highlighting a row, “Top” and “<Leading Dots>” are displayed in the English locale.

  • 16407560 -- In Financial Reporting Studio, when users select HTML Preview, reports are displayed in the client locale, not the browser locale.

  • 16408267 -- To create an annotation for a text object when using Internet Explorer, click the New Annotation button in the view pane, and then select desired text from the context tab of the new annotation dialog. Adding a text object annotation by right-clicking the text object is not available.

  • 16483644 -- If you select “Save As” and enter a new report name, the title of the report does not reflect the new name.

  • 16413676 -- The “Launch Out” option available in PDF Preview on mobile devices is displayed only in the English locale even when a non-English locale is used.

  • 16421361 -- When viewing Financial Reporting reports using “Complete Book in PDF,” related content is not listed in the Table of Contents or available in the book content after changing the book User POV.

  • 16437687 -- Reports opened in Microsoft Excel are not interpreting Microsoft Excel special characters correctly.

  • 16515631 -- When running Financial Reporting batches, Oracle deadlock errors are displayed in the Repository Manager logs.

  • 16559999 -- The date format description in incorrect Japanese.

  • 16562815 -- A Planning user who has restricted metadata access to specific members in Planning dimensions can still view the members defined in a prompt Reporting Studio and EPM Workspace and in a Grid POV in Reporting Studio.

  • 16635158 -- In a report that contains multiple grids and multiple members in the page dimensions, the grid containing the relevant member is not displayed on all runtime pages. As a result, the project member is incorrect on the top the runtime pages after the first one.

  • 16717963 -- Open source fonts do not display in Reporting Studio.

  • 16810271 -- When using the FRExecute command in a Microsoft Word document in a Financial Reporting book, multi-page reports are scaled down to fit on a single page.

  • 16852403 -- In Reporting Studio, security settings from Planning are not enforced when you select members in the Choices list in a report prompt.

  • 17464336 -- On a Windows 7 64 bit client machine, when you open the Member Selection dialog box in Reporting Studio and press Alt-Tab to switch to another application, Reporting Studio becomes unresponsive.

  • 17495650 -- When scheduling a batch with Bursted Output labels, the BatchPovMember and BatchPovAlias functions do not return the member name provided in the dimname argument; instead, they always return the member selected in the bursting options.

  • 17529635 -- When running a book of multiple reports, multiple sessions are created.

  • 17532310 -- Formula data is formatted as text in Financial Reporting reports exported to Microsoft Excel.

  • 17647748 -- When you preview a Financial Reporting report with “Display Supporting Details ” selected in Reporting Studio, the supporting details are displayed, but the rows that met the conditional formatting criteria are not modified.

  • 17662123 -- When you select a different value in the POV, if you expand a member, the member goes to top of the hierarchy, and you have to scroll down to the expanded member to select a value.

  • 17756977 -- In Financial Reporting reports that have a grid with rows that expand to four pages in the PDF output, if a textbox follows the grid, the textbox overlaps the grid content.

  • 17887387 -- When formatting Russian characters in a report, bold an italic formatting is not displayed in the PDF.

  • 18019775 -- If you try to export a sub-folder with same name as the parent folder, the export fails.

  • 18046736 -- If you select "subfolder name is null" in the bursting options, an exception occurs. 

  • 18062282 -- After upgrading to to Release11.1.2.3, the Financial Reporting report name is truncated in the book editor.

  • 18113490 -- In a Financial Reporting report, if you add an annotation and select the Arabic document against a member, the Arabic characters and indentation are from left to right and the letters are backward.

  • 18148487 -- Scheduling a report to snapshots creates the snapshots of the report, but if the report is bursted for two or more members, all the snapshots return the same values.

  • 18206362 -- The expansion option in a Financial Reporting report is not available for a report in Smart View.

  • 18289274 -- After installing Financial Reporting patch 17213446, the scroll bars are barely visible.

  • 18395615 -- When Reporting Studio is installed on a Windows 7 64 bit client machine, if you open the Member Selection dialog box or insert a grid in and then perform and then Alt-Tab to switch to another application, Reporting Studio becomes unresponsive.

  • 18416164 -- When using Internet Explorer 8, the book setup paper size reverts to letter size. 

  • 18435420 -- In rare cases, when you try to export a Financial Reporting report to Excel from HTML or PDF preview, a format error is displayed.

  • 18506109 -- When you define a sorting order for columns in a report and then you change the sort order for the columns, the last two columns switch places at runtime.

  • 18501718 -- You cannot export an XLSX format to Excel.

  • 18536485 -- When you use Microsoft Word to export a report with more than ten pages, only first ten pages are visible in the exported report.

  • 18610800 -- Financial Reporting does not display charts that contain an Oracle Essbase alias attribute with an apostrophe. 

  • 18613143 -- When you click Export in query-ready mode, a pop-up window is displayed and won’t close.

  • 18615060 -- Carriage returns and blank lines from Planning text members are incorrect in Financial Reporting.

  • 18620501 -- Substitution variables display differently when used in a POV and a grid .

  • 18711772 -- A batch that contains a book and has bursting applied generates an error stating that the report could not be found.  

  • 18655633 -- Images in Financial Reporting reports are displaying as very large in PDF Preview.

  • 18797741 -- When you select a sort option in the "Member Selection" window, the members are always displayed in PDF and HTML in the same order.

  • 18084341 -- When exporting Financial Reporting reports with merged column headings to batch HTML, XML code appears at the top of the reports.

  • 18816744 - In the PDF preview of a Financial Reporting report, the tabs are not positioned correctly in the Report Header section.

  • 18482291 -- In the PDF preview of a Financial Reporting report, the bold formatting is gone, and some of the values are truncated.

  • 18950330 -- The POV becomes mixed up when multiple reports open with different POVs.

  • 18597310 -- When displaying a report in a PDF format, the indentation is not applied correctly starting on second page.

  • 18966057 -- When a Financial Reporting report is exported to Excel, the indentions are lost.

  • 19071823 -- When you send emails through the scheduler for batch bursting HTMLs, the schedule batch email displays the default server name instead of a custom name.

  • 19076105 -- When a report in a book uses the current POV for a dimension that has a member name with a slash, an error is displayed when viewing the book in PDF.

  • 19127247 -- After applying the Financial Reporting patch 11.1.2.2.315, if you try to assign a member a name (instead of selecting from the Member Selection dialog box), a “subscript out of range” error is displayed.

  • 19190929 -- When you open a Financial Reporting report in Smart View, a script error occurs in “Respond to Prompts”.

  • 19194609 -- When displaying Financial Reporting report in HTML, the third page in the report does not display.

  • 19243528 -- In a grid, if a cell has a background color that is black, the cell disappears when the report is exported to PDF.

  • 19352893 -- The "MemberProperty" function does not display the member property when any other function is in the same cell.

  • 19361545 -- When rows are merged, the header text is incorrect.

  • 19568142 -- When you edit a Financial Reporting book and select a Word document, the page number is incorrect.

  • 19568589 -- Numbers formatted with decimal places are rounded incorrectly in Financial Reporting reports.

  • 19576927 -- Bookmarks in Financial Reporting books are not correctly associated with the correct page in the PDF.

  • 19802332 -- The font type is not the same in PDF and HTML

  • 19846110 -- The column width of columns with large alias names is incorrect in the HTML viewer. 

Interactive Reporting

  • 16342971 -- When you click a text label in EPM Workspace, the fonts in the menus change.

  • 16559708 -- A section attached e-mail defined in a BQY job cycle fails unless the SMTP port number is 25.

  • 18151170 -- In Windows 8, a question mark is displayed in the version number in the Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting web client.

  • 18284980 -- When you create a BQY using metadata, then save and reopen the BQY using the Interactive Reporting web client or Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio, and then select “Data Model / Synch with Database”, the data model is updated even if there has been no change to the database.

  • 18507997 -- Cannot read table cell values in an Interactive Reporting document report section in 508 Mode.

  • 19307193 -- BQY reports with teradata macros fail when they are run in Interactive Reporting.

  • 19511813 -- The formatting in PDF files generated by Interactive Reporting jobs is not the same in HPSU (Hyperion Release 8.5) and EPM System.

  • 19654519 -- In EPM Workspace iHTML using Internet Explorer 10, only the first approximately 100 records in a table section are displayed. You cannot scroll to any additional records after that.

  • 20022208 -- Assigning a Content Manager role causes you to lose access to data models in BQY.

Reporting and Analysis Framework

  • 9305674 -- The \Hyperion\products\Foundation\workspace\logs\base folder fills up with temp files.

  • 9757867 -- Pass-through works if only if the "Use users' login credentials for pass-through" option is checked.

  • 12823826 -- The Description of Cache Folders For (seconds) is different from the default value.

  • 13404574 -- When logging in to EPM Workspace, the following error is displayed “You must supply a valid Username and Password to log onto the system.

  • 13438034 -- The job factory does not support fail over for generic jobs.

  • 14062928 -- The localeWidget.jsp file is not added to the correct path and results in an error when starting the Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis Framework web application.

  • 14489836  -- The RM1 folder takes a lot of disk space and continues to increase in size.

  • 14650382 -- When you change an Interactive Reporting job owner and use the Advanced Search option in EPM Workspace, the search still returns the original owner.

  • 16609854 -- When adding a schedule to a BQY job in EPM Workspace, the Cancel option does not work.

  • 16656884 -- When using IIS 7, the Search function in EPM Workspace does not work.

  • 16843168 -- When using Siteminder with "//" configured as a bad character, the icon does not appear correctly when viewing the Job Que, Job Notifications, and Jobs Running tabs.

  • 16985380 -- If there is more than one page of database servers on the Production Reporting Database Server page, using the scroll bar or page down button does not scroll to the second page.

  • 17012707 -- SQR Production Reporting data sources show host name instead of the connection name for ODBC connections.

  • 17389645 -- An additional, non-functional OK button is displayed in the dialog box where you enter parameters related to the email action on a job.

  • 17856060 -- When you use Favorites to push a file to a user; the user has no access to the folder containing the file.

  • 18304739 -- When using Smart View to access Financial Reporting reports, a “'wksp.relatedcontent' failed” error is displayed.

  • 18305419 -- When using Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Lifecycle Management to import jobs parameters in bulk, the import fails with an epmraf-31008 error.

  • 18657718 -- After applying the 11.1.2.3.500 patch, you cannot sort the event name and next run date in the Consolidated Job Status page in EPM Workspace.

  • 18806951-- In EPM Workspace, when you set default file permissions in Explore after copying and pasting a Web Analysis report, the permissions do not apply.

Web Analysis

  • 14723171 -- Need support for the Financial Management ADM “thin” driver in addition to the “native”' driver.

  • 16698572 -- wa:wkspc:cannot find the help page in the Export Excel Wizard window.

  • 16965323 --The suppress missing option does not work on a calculation defined in a Web Analysis report.

  • 17319940 -- The Web Analysis SQL spreadsheet export incorrect values.

  • 17512869 -- Drill options in the Web Analysis reports pin board do not work.

  • 17552725 -- Web Analysis free form grids cannot export to Excel 2010.

  • 17644949 -- (nls): You cannot add a Web Analysis SQL subscription control if using double byte field names.

  • 17645282 -- (nls) You cannot run queries on Web Analysis Workspace SQL spreadsheets that contain double byte data.

  • 17825673 -- A space remains between the footer title and a chart when the x-axis set to “unshown”.

  • 17939421 -- (nls) You cannot add SQL subscription control in Web Analysis if you use MBCS as a statement.

  • 18003016 -- Web Analysis reports are running slower in Release 11.1.2.3 than they were in Release 11.1.1.3.

  • 18087457 -- Web Analysis reports cannot link to the correct custom link URL.

  • 18151528 -- Web Analysis Studio cannot open Web Analysis documents from EPM Workspace if the document name contains MBCS.

  • 18151562 -- Negative almost-zero values, such as -0.00000001, are rounded to -0.

  • 18151580 -- The cumulative function returns an incorrect value in a Web Analysis report.

  • 18151593 -- The calculation function in Analysis Tools Manager options is not working for position.

  • 18151612 -- You cannot see the calculation definition in a Web Analysis report.

  • 18151655 -- The Analysis Tools Manager calculation displays a zero (0) value.

  • 18151675 -- Computations do not display a value when “suppress missing row” is enabled.

  • 18151695 -- The position of the calculation (subtotal) is inconsistent in a Web Analysis report.

  • 18151715 -- The wa:wkspc:page control panel crashes after using the Export Excel wizard.

  • 18151740 -- The Web Analysis report layout changes after removing missing members.

  • 18151769 -- You cannot open multiple Web Analysis documents in Web Analysis Studio.

  • 18151797 -- There is a post-based XSS in the WebAnalysis/servlet/HTMLViewer servlet.

  • 18272493 -- In Internet Explorer 8, you cannot export a Web Analysis report to a Microsoft Office file in EPM Workspace.

  • 18304642 -- After applying 11.1.2.3.500, the member position displays incorrectly after the period.

  • 18317629 -- After applying 11.1.2.3.500, computed row and column names are incorrect.

  • 18324421 -- After applying 11.1.2.3.500, selections in the cube navigator display all members.

  • 18325400 -- After applying 11.1.2.3.500, suppress missing rows also suppresses zero values from calculated rows.

  • 18334295 -- In Internet Explorer 9, Web Analysis gets behind its launcher window you open it in EPM Workspace.

  • 18423682 -- “Save as HTML” does not work if you use Oracle Hyperion Web Analysis Studio to open a report in EPM Workspace.

  • 18473742 -- A Web Analysis document with a chart cannot be saved as HTML when it is set as the home page.

  • 18851211 -- Combo boxes in reports are not working properly.

  • 18861415 -- In a Web Analysis combo box, some values disappear if personal variables are removed.

  • 19259647 -- Calculated members are not shown in page filters.

  • 19473965 -- A DTE run may result in the following error: “Error: Unable to connect to Financial Management Server.

  • 20013038 -- Dynamic text labels do not honor numeric formats grouped as thousands.

The following are the noteworthy known issues of this release.

EPM Workspace

  • 6537899 -- In Mozilla Firefox, documents in common spreadsheets and Microsoft Word processing formats open in a separate window. The documents are not embedded in the browser like they are when using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  • 6539333 -- When creating Interactive Reporting documents with the New Document wizard, you can select a file to which you do not have access (such as a file imported by another user). If you select such a file, you get an error message that you do not have permission to access the document, and the New Document wizard closes.

  • 6540172 -- Group preferences are applied only to current group members, not to users who are added to the group after the group preferences are set.

  • 6562984 -- In some circumstances in Microsoft Internet Explorer, you cannot open Microsoft Office files in a new window.

    To open Microsoft Office files in a new window in Microsoft Internet Explorer:

    1. 1. Select Tools, and then Internet Options.

    2. 2. On the Security tab, select the Web application's zone, and then select Custom Level.

    3. Under Downloads, navigate to Automatic prompting for file downloads, and then click Enable.

    4. Click OK, then Yes, and then click OK again.

  • 6581290 -- When Mozilla Firefox is used with Linux or Apple Macintosh OS X operating systems, clicking the mouse to select an object in Microsoft Internet Explorer sometimes selects the wrong object. To resolve this issue, you must install and use the Liberation family of TrueType fonts.

    For Linux, the recommended font package is the Liberation-fonts package. This package can be installed using the command:

    yum install liberation-fonts

    The X Windows server must be restarted for the change to take effect.

    For Apple Macintosh OS X, copy the Liberation fonts to the user's $HOME/Library/Fonts directory.

  • 6585295 -- In certain instances a tree with content wider than the visible area displays scrollbars that have no effect. To resolve this issue, move the vertical splitter to the right to resize the visible area, allowing for more content.

  • 7483255 -- If you edit an EPM Workspace page by selecting File, and then Save As, you save the changes to a new EPM Workspace page and the existing EPM Workspace page. To save changes only to the new EPM Workspace page, open the existing page, and before making any changes to the page, select File, then Save As, then save the page with a new name, and then open the new page and edit it.

  • 8646204 -- When launching EPM Workspace with Mozilla Firefox, the browser's address bar is shown. The address bar can be hidden by following the instructions at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Dom.disable_window_open_feature.location.

  • 8940113 -- If EPM Workspace servers are in a clustered configuration, changes to EPM Workspace server settings take effect only after the clustered EPM Workspace Web applications are restarted.

  • 9194960 -- If Reporting and Analysis Framework is disabled in the Enabled Products dialog box, any other products that depend on Reporting and Analysis Framework, such as Explore, should also be disabled.

  • 9788411 -- When an administrator selects a user in Manage Preferences and clicks Next, the Manage Preferences Wizard does not display the details of user's preferences correctly. Specifically, the type of startup content (for example, Document or Application) is displayed, but not the content details (for example, document MyReport).

  • 10230100 -- If you open a report in the Interactive Reporting web client, make some changes, and then close the file, you are prompted to save the file even if you have not selected the “Prompt to Save Unsaved Files” preference in EPM Workspace EPM Workspace.

  • 10239838 -- For the Home Page, objects are not added to Recently Opened when the parameter bpm.logoff=false is used in the URL.

  • 10359325 -- Sometimes, when you open the Manage Preferences dialog box and select a user who has Explore set as the startup option, and then switch to Document, the following error message is displayed:

    The startup document specified does not exist in the repository. Select a new startup document on the General Preferences tab.

    You can ignore this error message.

  • 13107982 -- The right mouse context menu does not work correctly when editing a new EPM Workspace page in the Arabic locale. To place layout areas in a new EPM Workspace page, use the main Edit menu to insert layout areas (for example, Favorites, or Application list).

  • 13401838 -- In browsers configured to show a bidirectional language, the dialog box that allows you to pick a color is not mirrored.

  • 13538281 -- When you launch a SmartCut in a browser that is configured to show a bidirectional language, the buttons may not be placed properly on the logon page.

  • 13631746 -- When launching EPM Workspace with Mozilla Firefox configured with a bidirectional language, the vertical scroll bar is displayed on the right. To change this, follow the instructions at: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Layout.scrollbar.side.

  • 13704310 -- When using bidirectional locales, moving layout areas during EPM Workspace page design fails.

  • 13704443 -- Intermittently, new EPM Workspace pages are not displayed in the Home Page Workspace Pages layout area. To resolve this issue, log off EPM Workspace, and then logon again.

  • 13704493 -- When using bidirectional locales, dragging content to layout areas in EPM Workspace pages fails. To resolve this issue, drag the content to an empty space on the EPM Workspace page. This action creates a new layout area with the dragged content.

  • 13704532 -- When using bidirectional locales, adding layout areas to EPM Workspace pages results in stacked and overlapping layout areas.

  • 13709641 -- When using bidirectional locales in Explore, column order cannot be changed.

  • 13714759 -- When using bidirectional locales, layout areas may not be positioned correctly when creating EPM Workspace pages.

  • 13714992 -- When using EPM Workspace pages with bidirectional language locales, resizing layout areas does not work correctly. To resolve this problem, edit the page in English, and then view the page in the bidirectional language locale.

  • 13718458 -- If you require accessible online Help that is Section 508 compliant, or if you are using Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK), you must install and configure Help to run locally.

  • 13719326 -- If Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition is integrated into EPM Workspace, logging off and logging back on to EPM Workspace may cause the browser to close unexpectedly. To resolve this problem, close the browser after selecting Logoff from the File menu. This error does not occur if a product that uses Reporting and Analysis is configured.

  • 13769862 -- In EPM Workspace Pages, layout areas that contain Favorites, Alerts/Exceptions, Applications, or URLs have nonfunctional Edit and Launch buttons. To change the URL layout area to use a different URL, the layout area can be removed, and then added again.

  • 13793825 -- When using Internet Explorer with a bidirectional language, the Batch Scheduling Wizard and the Book Editor display a small "Selected Items" list when the Wizard is first opened. Resizing the browser window displays the UI correctly, making the Selected Items list easier to navigate.

  • 13799595 -- Compatibility View must be disabled for EPM Workspace. By default, Microsoft Internet Explorer enables Compatibility View for Intranet sites. When Compatibility View is enabled with EPM Workspace, problems such as truncated dialogs, incorrect object selection, and tree views expanded unexpectedly may occur. Also, error messages are displayed when Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle Hyperion Planning applications launch.

    The default Compatibility View Setting in Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 cannot be changed for hosts. To resolve this problem, clear all boxes in the Compatibility View Settings dialog. This ensures that Compatibility View is disabled for EPM Workspace. To enable and disable Compatibility View, Administrators can create group policy settings using the policy name “Use Policy List of Quirks Mode” at the path Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Compatibility View.   • 15963916 -- Setting preferences for the WORLD group does not work.

  • 17933035 -- If you log in to EPM Workspace without a Reporting and Analysis Framework role, and then you log off without closing the browser, and then a user with a Reporting and Analysis Framework role logs on, the following error may be displayed: Message:'com.hyperion.tools.cds.CDSCommand.REPOSITORY_TOKEN'is null or not an object. If this happens, close the browser window and then log in again.

  • 18477197 -- The Print Topic tool bar button in Dynamic Help is not working.

  • 19130737 -- Upgrade systems may be missing images on the Home Page. Clearing the browser cache and using Ctrl-F5 to force a reload of the page should resolve the issue.

  • 19565789 -- In a clustered environment, changes to user preferences are not honored on all deployed instances.

  • 19571269 -- After a session time out, if you log in to EPM Workspace with the Interactive Reporting web client and then try to save a file to the repository, a login error occurs. The workaround is to log in to EPM Workspace before logging in to the Interactive Reporting web client.

  • 19867343 -- Interactive Reporting documents opened from the Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting web client are not listed in the Home Page Recently Opened documents list.

  • 19971984 -- After logging off from a security agent in a separate browser tab or window, there is no notification in EPM Workspace that you have been logged off.

  • 20071239 -- In Internet Explorer 9, the screen jitters when accessing menus and submenus in EPM Workspace.

    To display menus correctly:

    1. Select Tools, and then Internet Options.

    2. On the Security tab, select the web application's zone, and then click Custom Level.

    3. Under Miscellaneous, go to Allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraints, and then click Enable.

  • 20236930 -- In Internet Explorer, when you use Shift-F10 to invoke the context menu, the menu is either positioned in the top left of the browser window or it is not displayed at all. As a workaround, use the main menu to operate on the focused item.

  • 20237948 -- In Mozilla Firefox. when you use Shift-F10 to invoke the context menu, the browser's context menu is displayed instead of the EPM Workspace context menu.. As a workaround, use the main menu to operate on the focused item.

  • 20386867 -- When you do not have access to any applications, the “No Application” menu item is not displayed. Instead, there is only a “Refresh” menu item under the Applications menu .

Financial Reporting

  • 8237117 -- When Financial Reporting reports are exported to Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint, image objects in the report are truncated. To correct this, change the Tabbed Browsing Settings through Microsoft Internet Explorer Option settings.

  • 9113605 -- The GetCell function may not retrieve the correct data if the target cell has conditional formatting applied.

  • 11895214 -- Changes made to substitution variables are not automatically reflected in Financial Reporting Studio. To resolve this problem, open the report in Financial Reporting Studio, and then select the member using the member selection dialog box.

  • 12542741 -- Sometimes when exporting Financial Reporting reports to Microsoft Excel using the Fully Formatted export option, logos are sized incorrectly. To resolve this issue, use Image Editor to size the logo to the size required in the exported file before exporting.

  • 12981118 -- When using bidirectional languages, charts may not be displayed correctly.

  • 13055279 -- If a book document contains the FRExecute function, then the MHTML book output may fail to generate successfully.

  • 13384684 -- For Financial Reporting reports created in the afternoon, the create time stamp is incorrect in the report summary.

  • 13384773 -- When using Financial Reporting Studio with locales other than English, dates are displayed in the locale specified for the server rather than the locale specified in user preferences.

  • 13115741 -- The Select Members dialog is not displayed correctly in locales using bidirectional languages.

  • 13606330 -- In Financial Reporting, when using bidirectional locales, maximizing the viewing window can result in the viewing window closing.

  • 13731692 -- In Financial Reporting Studio, to delete content from the repository, you must be in the list view. Delete is not supported from the tree view.

  • 13770396 -- If Financial Reporting reports containing any cells formatted with percent signs (%) are exported from Financial Reporting to Microsoft Excel 2008 for the Mac, all cells in the exported report are formatted with percent signs.

  • 13771016 -- Report headings sometimes are not displayed centered on the page if the report grid contains more than 1000 columns.

  • 13773244 -- On an Apple Macintosh platform using Mozilla Firefox, opening a Financial Reporting report fails if the report is opened immediately after exporting the report to that platform.

  • 13813300 -- In the Italian locale in Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, some text is truncated in the batch scheduling dialog boxes.

  • 13930056 -- After deleting a text object name in a Financial Reporting report, the text object cannot be renamed.

  • 14310226 -- Financial Reporting reports that use the MemberProperty function display the function code in the reports rather than the results.

  • 14541783 -- In the Japanese locale, searching for annotations using the Category option fails.

  • 14600458 -- When exporting a Financial Reporting report from EPM Workspace to Smart View, the user POV for the report is not retained. The user POV defaults to the user POV used most recently in Smart View.

  • 14682035 -- Importing a live URL to EPM Workspace, and then adding that live URL to a book, causes the book to fail when run. To resolve this issue, import the HTML file into EPM Workspace, and then add that file to the Financial Reporting book.

  • 14691385 -- If a Financial Reporting report is open in Financial Reporting Studio designer, launching a second report from EPM Workspace by selecting File, then Open In, and then Studio Preview, does not open the second report in Financial Reporting Studio designer. To resolve this issue, open the second report from an open Financial Reporting Studio instance, or close and then launch Financial Reporting Studio again from EPM Workspace.

  • 15915103 -- In Financial Reporting Studio, to delete a folder or a report object, select the report or object in the right pane of the repository, then select Edit, and then Delete.

  • 16022321 -- Cannot download the FinancialReportingStudio.exe file from EPM Workspace if the deployment is done on an HP-UX UNIX environment. To resolve this problem, copy the file from the server location: //<EPM_ORACLE_HOME>/products/financialreporting/install/bin to the client machine, then use the Run as Administrator option to run FinancialReportingStudio.exe to install Financial Reporting Studio.

  • 16179555 -- In some cases, reports generated using FRExecute from a text box in Microsoft Word are not displayed correctly as part of a book.

  • 16205625 -- Reports imported to Microsoft Excel using Smart View use Windows 2003 format instead of Windows 2007 format.

  • 16249504 -- The column widths of Financial Reporting reports change when reports are imported into Oracle Smart View for Office.

  • 16340599 -- Note that Weblogic servers truncate long file names.

  • 16386397 -- Depending on the locale selected, the date format in the timestamp of each line of the annotation audit log (annotationaudit.log) may be incorrect.

  • 16406328 -- When inserting the LabeledCellText function in a Financial Reporting report with the Chinese locale, the report fails with an invalid parameter error. To resolve this issue, manually edit functions from full width quote to a half width quote.

  • 18629722 -- On non-English machines, when installing Reporting Studio, the first five characters in the installation path must be ASCII characters.

  • 19951103 -- In EPM System installations where Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis Framework has been scaled out to two or more machines running Microsoft Windows, you must disable the SMB2 protocol on each cluster member machine; otherwise, Financial Reporting may fail to execute. Only scaled-out deployments of Oracle Hyperion Reporting and Analysis deployed on Microsoft Windows are affected.

  • 20339829 -- When exporting a Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting report with a merged column to Microsoft Excel, an extra blank column is added after the merged column.

    Workaround: In the xdo.cfg file located in Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\FinancialReporting\lib\FOProcessor\, remove the following entry: <property name="xlsx-keep-values-in-same-column">true</property>.

  • 20713530 -- In Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, after making a selection in the Member Selection dialog box, sometimes the dialog box will disappear into the background where you cannot see it.

    Workaround: Press Alt-Tab to access the Member Selection dialog box.

Interactive Reporting

  • 16407735 -- Pass through of credentials to Oracle Essbase fails when single sign-on is enabled.

  • 17997937 -- In Windows 8, when renaming a BQY file in the Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting Web Client, you must use the Tab key to move the focus in the “Save As” dialog box.

Reporting and Analysis Framework

  • 14518216 -- The Connectivity Type and Database Type fields are partially displayed in the Add Data Source to DAS dialog box.

  • 17593107 -- When importing a large file into Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Workspace, the error The resource did not process correctly is displayed.

Web Analysis

19273379 -- You cannot export Web Analysis reports to a .pptx file; instead, you must export to a .ppt file. If you export a Web Analysis report to an .xlsx or docx file, you must change the extension to .xls or .doc in order to view the contents of the report. In addition, you cannot export Oracle Hyperion Web Analysis reports by selecting Export Data, then Microsoft Excel, then Query Ready, and then Selected Object.

When you cut and paste code snippets from a PDF file, some characters can be lost during the paste operation, making the code snippet invalid. Workaround: Cut and paste from the HTML version of the document.
