Creating a calculation
- On the report palette, click a column heading.
- Optionally, select additional column headings by clicking them while holding down the Shift key.
- Do one of the following:
- From the Edit Data menu, click Calculate.
- From the toolbar, click the Calculate (
) button. - Right-click a highlighted column heading, and select Calculate.
- Complete the Calculate page:
- Select the operations.
- Select from other calculation parameters.
- Optionally, apply a new item name to the calculation.
- To add the calculation to the ad hoc report, click Insert.
Note: When you select more than one column upon which to base a calculation, you can only select columns that contain the same type of data (numeric, string, date/time).
