Description: The number of bindings threshold has been exceeded.

Severity:
  • Minor: SBR active bindings threshold is greater than or equal to 80% of maximum binding capacity
  • Major: SBR active bindings threshold is greater than or equal to 90% of maximum binding capacity
  • Critical: SBR active bindings threshold is greater than or equal to 95% of maximum binding capacity

Recovery:

  1. This alarm indicates that the total number of subscribers that have at least one binding is nearing the tested maximum of the system. The alarm threshold percentages can be modified as desired by the network operator at the NOAMP using Policy and Charging > Configuration > Alarm Settings.

  2. If a given alarm severity is unwanted, the alarm severity may be suppressed by checking the Suppress checkbox for that alarm severity.
  3. Contact My Oracle Support (MOS) to discuss plans for system growth is this alarm continues to be asserted under normal operating conditions.

    Note: It is expected, but not guaranteed, that the system will continue to function beyond the tested maximum number of subscribers with bindings.
