Find and Replace Text in a Web Page


After completing this topic, you will be able to find and replace text in a web page.


Steps:

  1. Find and replace the text "Paper source" with "Paper Source."

     

    Click the Find in this Web Page button.

  2. Click the Replace link.

  3. Click in the Find what: field.

  4. Enter the desired information into the Find what: field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Paper source"

  5. Click in the Replace with: field.

  6. Enter the desired information into the Replace with: field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Paper Source"
    .

  7. Click the Match case option.

  8. Find the first instance of the text to be replaced.

     

    Click the Replace button.

  9. The first instance of the text to be replaced is highlighted. Clicking Replace again completes the text replacement.

  10. Replace the selected text.

     

    Click the Replace button.

  12. Find the next instance of the text to be replaced.

  15. A Message from the webpage dialog box appears when all of the instances of the text have been replaced.
