Import Content


After completing this topic, you will be able to import content.


Steps:

  1. Since we last exported the Creating Simple Formulas section, we have made changes to the content. We have deleted the Entering Formulas topic and related documents.

     

    Notice the broken link caused by deleting the Entering Formulas topic.

    Step 1

  2. We also changed the name of the Using the AutoSum Button topic to Using AutoSum.

    Step 2

  3. Import the Formulas_export.odarc file, which is the archive for the Creating Simple Formulas section.

     

    Click the Tools menu.

  4. Point to the Import command.

  5. Click the Documents command.

    Step 5

  6. Browse to the location in which the Formulas_export archive resides.

     

    Click the Browse button.

    Step 6

  7. Select the archive file to be imported.

     

    Click the Formulas_export.odarc file.

    Step 7

  8. Click the Open button.

  9. Set the import location to the root of the Library.

     

    Click the Browse button.

  10. The root of the library is selected.

     

    Click the OK button.

  11. Click the Overwrite existing documents option.

  12. Click the Import button.

  13. Click the View activity log link.

  14. The activity log shows that the import restored the Entering Formulas topic and the web page linked to the topic.

     

    Click the Close button.

  15. Click the OK button.

  16. The import restored the deleted document and the document is no longer missing from the outline. Notice that the import also overwrote the renaming of the Using the AutoSum Button topic.

     

    Warning: When you import content and choose the overwrite option, you will lose any new edits made to the content after the last import.
