Create Tables


After completing this topic, you will be able to create a table.


Steps:

  1. Click at the end of the Typical paper sizes include: paragraph.

    Step 1
  2. Press ENTER to insert a new paragraph.

     

    Press [Enter].

  3. Create a new table using the Insert New Table toolbar button.

     

    Click the Insert New Table button.

  4. Add the table information.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Rows field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "6"
    .

  5. Double-click in the Columns field.

  6. Enter the desired information into the Columns field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "4"
    .

  7. Now add the table Caption.

     

    Click in the Caption field.

  8. Enter the desired information into the Caption field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Office Stationery"
    .

  9. Click the OK button.

  10. The 6 row by 4 column table appears in the web page with the caption centered at the top.

  11. Enter the table data.

     

    Click in the 1st column, 2nd row cell.

  12. Enter the desired information into the selected cell field. Enter "Letter".

  13. You will notice that the columns change width as you type.

  14. Click in the 1st column, 3rd row cell.

  15. Enter the desired information into the selected cell field. Enter "#10 Envelope".

    Click the 2nd column, 1st row cell.

    Press [Tab].

  25. We entered a long line of text for the Description cell for the #10 Envelope.

     

    Notice how the width of Description column changed to accommodate the long line of text.
