Preview Publishing Categories

After completing this topic, you will be able to preview content using a Publishing category.

Steps:

1. We have created the WSG category folder in the System/Publishing/Styles folder.

   Step 1

2. The folder contains copies of the publishing projects you want to include in the category.

    

   In this example, we created copies of the System Process, Player, and Training Guide projects and assigned a new logo for the category. We have also renamed the publishing project documents to better identify them.

   Step 2

3. Open the Options dialog box and set the Publishing Preview to the WSG category.

    

   Click the Tools menu.

4. Click the Options command.

   Step 4

5. Click the Preview category.

   Step 5

6. Click the Category list.

   Step 6

7. Click the WSG category.

   Step 7

8. Click the OK button to close the dialog box.

   Step 8

9. Switch to the WordPad Training outline.

    

   Click the WordPad Training tab.

   Step 9

10. Display the Preview list for the WSG category.

     

    Click the Preview list.

    Step 10

11. Only the Play Modes, System Process, and Training Guide options appear on the Preview list.

     

    When you preview by category, the Preview list is limited to only those publishing projects in the category.

12. Preview the topic for a System Process Document.

     

    Click the System Process list item.

    Step 12

13. Click the Go button.

    Step 13

14. Notice the new logo in the header for the System Process Document.
