After completing this topic, you will be able to create headings in a web page.
Steps:
You want to format the Orientation, Margins, Paper Source, Page Numbers and Paper Size text as headings.
Step 1Click in the Orientation text.
Step 2Use the Format list in the toolbar to try a few of the Heading choices.
Click the Format button.
Step 3Apply the Heading 6 style.
Click the Heading 6 list item.
Step 4Notice the Font size, Spacing before and Spacing after values in the Inherited from browser defaults category in the Style Inspector.
Step 5Apply the Heading 3 style.
Click the Format list.
Step 6Click the Heading 3 list item.
Step 7Change the Heading style to Normal.
Click the Format list.
Step 8Click the Normal list item.
Step 9The Heading 2 formatting is removed from the text.
Step 10Change the heading style to Heading 2.
Click the Format list.
Step 11Click the Heading 2 list item.
Step 12The Web Page Editor applies the Heading 2 format to the paragraph text.
Step 13We have applied the Heading 2 format to the remaining headings.
Note: You can customize the attributes used for the default Heading 1-6 formats by creating default Heading styles in the style sheet. The default heading styles are used for all web pages linked to that style sheet.
For example, if you added a default Heading 4 style to the style sheet with an italic font format, all Heading 4 paragraphs in new and existing text would display with the italic font.
