You can permanently delete a question you no longer need from the Library.

If the question is part of an assessment, it is deleted from the assessment as well. However, if you delete a question from an outline or an assessment, you are only removing the link and the question remains in the Library where it was created.

Warning! Deleting a question from the Library may create broken links in your content. Deleting a package item that contains the code for a User-Defined question or the package itself creates broken links in your content. Therefore, if you plan to perform any of these actions you should first remove any links to that question.

 Multi-user Considerations

• Documents under version control must be checked in and you must be working online to delete a document from the Library. You can delete new documents that have never been checked in (are not under version control) while working online or offline.

To delete a question from the Library:

1. Navigate to the location in the Library where the question you want to delete is stored.
    
2. Select the desired question to be deleted. 
   
3. On the Edit menu, choose  Delete.
    
4. Click Yes to delete the selected question.
    
   The question is permanently deleted from the Library and from any assessments in which it was included.
