Restore a Deleted Document from the Deleted View


After completing this topic, you will be able to restore a deleted document from the Library.


Steps:

  1. The Saving Documents section was deleted and appears as a broken link in the outline.

     

    The name of the deleted document appears in the outline because the document was under version control.

     

    You can view and restore deleted documents under version control from the Deleted Documents view in the Library.

    Step 1
  2. Switch to the Library.

     

    Click the Library tab.

  3. Display the Deleted documents view.

     

    Click the View list button.

  4. Click the Deleted documents list item.

  5. All deleted documents under version control and not yet purged by your administrator appear in the Deleted documents view.

  6. Restore the Saving Documents section.

     

    Click the Saving Documents list item.

  7. Restore the selected document.

     

    Click the Edit menu.

  8. Click the Restore command.

  9. Switch to the Details view in the Library.

     

    Click the View list button.

  10. Click the Details view list item.

  11. Notice that the Saving Documents section has been restored.

  12. We have switched to the WordPad Training outline.

     

    Notice that the Saving Documents section is restored to the outline and no longer appears as a broken link.
