After completing this topic, you will be able to create and link a new web page as a concept in the Outline Editor.
Steps:
Select the document for which you want to create and link a new web page.
Click the Printing a Document topic.
Step 1Click the Create new web page button in the Concept pane.
Step 2Browse to the Library location in which you want to store the web page.
We have opened this folder for you.
Step 3Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter "Printing".
Step 4Click the Save button.
Step 5The new Printing web page opens in the Web Page Editor with the Style Inspector toolpane on the right and a blue Element Path bar at the bottom. You can now enter the information you want to appear in the web page.
Step 6To save time, we have entered the text for you.
Step 7The Style Inspector shows that you are using an Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif font family with a font size of 10 points. This is the default Document Body setting for web pages linked to the Standard style sheet. The default paragraph style sets the spacing before and after paragraphs to 8 points.
Step 8Press [Enter] to create a new paragraph.
Step 9Enter the desired information into the web page. Enter "You can also print individual pages.".
Step 10Select the word "pages".
Double-click the word "pages" to select it.
Step 11Use the Font Size list on the toolbar to change the size to 12 points.
Click the Font Size button.
Step 12Click the 12 list item.
Step 13Change the color of the text to Red.
Click the Text Color button.
Step 14Click the Red list item.
Step 15Click the Ok button.
Step 16Change the background color to a light blue.
Click the Text Background Color button.
Step 17Click the Light Blue list item.
Step 18Click the Ok button.
Step 19Click in the word "pages" in the web page to see the changes.
Step 20Notice that your manually applied formatting is listed under the Direct formatting section in the Style Inspector toolpane.
Step 21You can change the background of the entire web page with the Properties toolpane.
To save time we have opened the Properties toolpane for you.
Step 22Change the background color of the web page using the properties toolpane.
Click in the Background color field.
Step 23Click the Browse button.
Step 24Click the Silver list item in the Web Colors section.
Step 25Click the Ok button.
Step 26The web page background now appears with a silver background.
Step 27Change the background color of the web page to "No color" using the properties toolpane.
Click in the Background color field.
Step 28Click the Browse button.
Step 29Click the No Color option.
Step 30Click the Ok button.
Step 31We have closed the Properties toolpane for you.
The No Color option resets the color to the default set by the style sheet.
Step 32Save the web page.
Click the Save button.
Step 33Click the Close button to close the web page.
Step 34The web page was saved and closed and now appears in the Concept pane of the selected document.
