This format allows instructors to publish the Training Guide with instructor notes. There are two types of instructor notes; topic notes and frame notes.

Instructor topic notes are inserted in the document per topic, after the Concept, and before the Procedure. An Instructor Note heading appears in the output in the same style as Procedure text. The instructor notes are formatted like web page attachments (indented 1/2 inch from the margin in a box with a rule and shading). This is designed to make the notes stand out from the other text. The outside margin is adjusted to 2.5 inches. This format allows instructors room to write their own notes.

Instructor frame notes are inserted per frame and appear as italic text in the Action column in the Step/Action table, before the frame text. See Use the Frame Comments Toolpane in the Use the Topic Editor chapter for more information about entering frame instructor notes.

Questions and/or assessments as well answers to the questions are included in the Instructor Manual when the Include Questions and/or Include Assessments options are set.

Warning! Be aware that when you publish an Instructor Manual, the entire selection is published as one document. If you publish an entire outline, the document could be very large, and you might experience problems with Microsoft Word.
