The image appears on the left side of the screen, but the Align buttons show that the image has no alignment set.
The default alignment for an image is a <not set> alignment, which produces an inline image with no word wrapping. If no alignment is set for the image, the image aligns to the paragraph on which it is placed. Applying a left or right alignment to the image itself changes the alignment and wraps the text.
