Notice the changes to the indentation and spacing for the bulleted lines.

Since the Bullet List 1 style is the default style for the Bulleted List element, the pasted bulleted list style inherits attributes from that style; in this case, the bolding for the first level text, and the 6 points of spacing and 12 point left indent for all levels.

    Step 12
  13. Remove the default setting for the Bullet List 1 style.

Click in the Bulleted List [default] field.

    Step 13
  14. By removing the default, the Presentaton star 3 levels style no longer inherits the settings from the Bullet List 1 style.

When you copy a style from one style sheet to another, the pasted results in the target style sheet may not be identical to the source style sheet.

The attributes in the pasted style are affected by the inheritance of attributes from the document body style and default styles of the same element in the target style sheet.

    Step 14
  15. When you copy a style that contains custom bullets, the bullets used in the style are embedded in the target style sheet.
