Load balancing is managed and configured using the Solaris I/O multipathing features at the host, not on the Oracle FS System. Depending upon the system version, there are differences in how load balancing is displayed in the GUI.
On an Oracle FS System, the load balancing setting being used by the Solaris I/O multipathing features is displayed in the Oracle FS System Manager (GUI), but you cannot change it from the GUI. Solaris settings that use a single path are displayed as Static. Solaris settings that use the best paths in turn are displayed as Round Robin. Other Solaris settings are displayed as Unknown.
On Pillar Axiom systems, the setting displayed in the GUI is not related to the setting being used by the Solaris I/O multipathing features. The GUI allows you to change the setting, but the value set in the GUI is ignored.
