Initiator-to-Controller Connectivity

Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) provides the connectivity status of each Controller ports and host initiator. After you have mapped LUNs to the hosts, you can view the connectivity status of every data path in the system.

The inter‑connectivity among the Controllers and host initiators creates highly redundant data paths. This redundancy ensures that data reliably transfers among the host, the Controller, and the mapped LUNs. The Oracle FS System provides connectivity status among the various data paths. Such states might indicate that an FC switch is offline.

You can view the connectivity status from the Initiator‑to‑Controller Connectivity menu items that are available from various locations in the GUI. Depending on the object that you have selected, the GUI shows the state of the initiator that is assigned to the host entry, host initiator, or LUN. The following table summarizes the connectivity information among the Controllers ports, LUNs, hosts, and initiators.
